鸡蛋站起来咯

过了那么多春节,昨天才从同事口中得知有立春这事。

根据维基百科,立春是二十四节气第一個節氣,指太陽到達黃經315°時,為公曆每年235日之间,表示着春天的开始,也是一年的真正開始,人们的属相就是以立春作为起始点的。从这一天一直到立夏这段期间,都被称为春天。


传言在每年的这一天,鸡蛋会比较容易立起来。我回到家后看到朋友的脸书po了一张鸡蛋立起来的照片,那给了我妈看。家里没鸡蛋,妈还到隔壁单位的奶奶家从冰箱拿了一粒鸡蛋。可是我们两个搞了很久,都没办法把鸡蛋立起来,后来也就放弃了。

过了几个小时,我在沙发上躺着看电视,一直对没办法把鸡蛋立起来感到很不服气,就随手拿起了鸡蛋,想做最后的尝试。没想到没几秒,我就成功了,高兴得猛拍照。

相声

Went to watch Crosstalk Travellers (那一夜,在旅途中说相声). Its hard to find someone to watch such show with me (tickets are not cheap and I refuse to settle for lower cat cheaper seats). Lucky for me, I found Zai Jing to watch with me, although she had no clue before hand as to what the show was about.

Here's what stated on the synopsis:

Lui Ren is a 6-star luxury traveller in pursuit of enjoyable experiences; Cheng Ke is a couchsurfing backpacker in search of meaning and significance. Embark on a hysterical journey with these two travellers who are stranded on an island as they recount their daring experiences from past adventures with each other and discover that they are not so different after all.

Coming on the heels of the highly acclaimed 2008 production The Village, Taiwan’s leading theatre company Performance Workshop brings us the latest instalment of a wildly popular series of crosstalk plays. Crosstalk Travellers is the latest major collaboration between Performance Workshop’s artistic director Stan Lai, regarded as the best Chinese language playwright in the world, and top Taiwanese television producer Wang Weizhong. Featuring familiar faces in Stan Lai’s plays—veteran crosstalk performer Feng Yigang and noted film and television actor Qu Zhongheng.

The show definitely change my perception of traditional cross talk performance and I'm totally amazed by how the actors managed to memorise the entire script. The dialogues are witty and funny, and had the entire theatre laughing half the time.

It was my first visit to Esplanade theatre and the experience was so much better than the Wicked show at MBS. Partly because I got very good seats this time compared to having a stupid lady with the tiny christmas hat sitting in front of me, blocking my view the entire time at MBS theatre. It was almost like paying for a seat with an obstructed view.
 
According to Zai Jing, she found this show better than Wicked, but it was hard for me to compare since both shows are different in nature. One thing that we can both agree though, it was money well spend. Looking forward to catch the next production by the talented Stan Lai.
